R. C. Wood & Associates is a firm that serves as consultants to state and local education finance policy makers. We do three things:
We design and evaluate PK-12 public school finance state aid distribution formulas for state legislatures with particular attention given to the conceptions of adequacy, equity, and efficiency, (e.g., the state legislatures of Missouri, Montana, and Rhode Island).
We defend state legislatures regarding constitutional challenges to the state methodologies of funding public education based on conceptions of adequacy, equity, and efficiency considerations, (e.g., the state legislatures of Florida, Missouri, South Dakota, and Texas).
We examine and make policy recommendations to local boards of education regarding specific local education policy actions. (e.g., Baldwin County Alabama).
